Sportswoman

Magdalena Neuner is a German biathlete. She won several heats and three times the overall WorldCup.

She has also twice won the gold medal in the Olympics in 2010. Her career started in 2006 and ended in 2012. Neuner was born on February 9th, 1987 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a small village next to the border to Austria.

She started skiing at a very young age. At the age of 9, she had the opportunity to join a biatheletic trial lesson.

Since then, she was fascinated by the sport and continued it successfully for many years. She mastered her first huge competition, the junior WorldCup, at the age of 16 and even won the Gold medal for several times.

Finally, at the age of 19, she was a triple world champion and a steady part of the national team. She joined the Olympics 6 times. At the height of her career in 2012, she decided to retire.

Nowadays, she is married to Josef Holzer and has two children.
